Congratulations to Sally and David on their Wedding in Bright Victoria. Thank you for allowing us to capture your day and we hope your images provided many happy memories for years to come.
Thank you to Sally and David for sharing the story of their day…
Dave’s family have been holidaying in Bright for generations. Due to this, Bright has always held a special place in our hearts and even more so after Dave proposed to me at Lady Bath Falls, Mt Buffalo. We had always dreamed of having an Autumn wedding in Bright as we wanted all our family and friends to be able to experience the magic of Bright for themselves. Planning an out of town wedding definitely had its challenges (thanks goodness for internet!!) but to finally see it all come together on the day was the most amazing feeling. Everything was perfect and even better than we had imagined! The wedding would not of even been possible without our family and friends supporting our decision and it meant that all 125 of our guests had to travel, with majority of people traveling from Geelong (hometown), Queensland and we also had visitors from Germany and Canada. Our wedding cake even made the journey on the plane from Queensland and all my flowers from Geelong.
Our ceremony took place at Chestnut Tree Apartments. The first time we drove up the driveway we knew that this was the place that we were going to get married at! The beautiful gardens really captured the beauty of Bright in Autumn. It even had a staircase for the bridal party to walk down and make a grand entrance. The combination of Luke Dewing playing guitar and singing our favourite songs and the humour of our celebrant Bruce Kilpatrick, made it feel like our ceremony was the perfect representation of us.
After the ceremony, we organised for our guests to be transported by bus to The Red Stag. Once our guests arrived they had the opportunity to feed all the animals on site, play mini golf or simply enjoy the breathtaking views. We couldn’t be happier with our choice of venue! The staff went above and beyond to cater for all our needs and nothing was too hard for the owner Grace to help out with. The food was AMAZING and we would be lying if we said that their pork belly wasn’t a big part of our decision to book them!
We met with multiple photographers in Bright, each with their own style but after meeting with Jason we knew that his style and personality was exactly what we were looking for. He was really down to earth and you could tell that he was very passionate about his work whilst being extremely professional. Jason helped us a lot with our decision making in choosing vendors for our big day. We were really impressed with his thoroughness throughout the whole process and especially during our very wet pre-wedding walk through. Jason was such a calming influence on our big day. We felt like we had known him for years and felt comfortable laughing and joking around between shots. We can honestly say that with out him our day wouldn’t of run as smooth as it did and we can not thank him enough for his services!!
