It seems each year goes by so quickly and it’s not until we sit back and look over the images created through out the year that we truly appreciate it. Weddings, Landscapes and Commercial Photography – this is our 2015 Year in Review.
I can never get enough of Mansfield. It’s where I spent a lot of my time growing up and I love receiving requests to capture Weddings in this area. I was on my way home from Pinnacle Valley Resort and couldn’t resist capturing this view just past Mansfield. For me this is iconic Australia, with the High Country in the distance.
Nathan and Natasha’s Lake Hume Wedding. The first Wedding of the year and January rain. We made use of the unseasonal weather and captured some great reflections at the Hume Weir Wall.
Carly and James’ Wedding at Boynton’s Feathertop Winery. The Winery is elevated and looks out over the vineyard below which makes for beautiful vantage points. The storm clouds were brewing over Mount Buffalo but just for a moment a cloud broke open to reveal this amazing sunlight.
I was approached by a local Wedding Gown Designer Maxcelle Hall @ Mill Street to do a shoot featuring their new Bridal Gown collection. An all day shoot with an amazing team and an incredible Dressmaker and Designer. To see the look on Maxie’s face as she saw the images of her designs coming together was just awesome, and why I love what I do.
Victoria and Trent’s Orange Grove Gardens Wedding in Culcairn. These are the moments that happen only once, capturing the grooms expression as he first sees his new bride.
Boynton’s Feathertop Winery in Bright Victoria. These images were part of our blog feature. This is a beautiful winery, stunning views and of course, great wine.
Lauren and Cameron’s Orange Grove Gardens Culcairn. Simply the best sunsets over the fields.
Elisha and Craig’s Peregrines Table Top Wedding. This lookout at Bimbadeen Point is a short drive from the Peregrines venue and looks out across Table Top.
Ingrid and Peter’s Boynton’s Feathertop Winery in Bright. I love that our couples are so willing to trek a little for that amazing locale.
Sara and Daniel’s All Saints Winery in Wahgunyah Victoria. Easter Sunday at a beautiful location just as the leaves were starting to change colour. I was sitting back in the vineyard with the 70-200mm lens watching the awesome clouds roll in.
Andrea and Dan’s Boynton’s Feathertop Winery in Bright Victoria. Andrea and Dan met prior to their Wedding for their Bridal Shoot, which is becoming more popular with our brides especially with later ceremonies. This gave us plenty of time to shoot at some great locations around Bright and Porepunkah.
Brydie and Rick’s Melbourne Docklands Anzac Day Wedding. Graffiti Lane’s colourful street art was a big contrast to the elegance of this day…and worked out beautifully.
With Rain on and off during the day, it was typical Melbourne, just wait a minute… the weather will change again!! This gave us some beautifully varied light to work with and some really cool results!
Paige and Brett’s Wedding at Peregrines Table Top. A magical end to a wonderful day and a LOT of rain.
Karli and Matt’s Splitter’s Creek Winery Wedding. After the ceremony we took a four wheel drive to the ridge overlooking Splitter’s Creek. As the sun dropped we caught this great silhouette shot.
Family Portrait Shoot in Bright Victoria. It was a fantastic occasion to have all four girls together, such a great day and lots of fun.
Helen and Matthew’s Wedding at Waddington’s at Kergunyah Victoria. Helen and Matt’s wish for their photos was to capture the country location…so we included the locals.
Ellie and Patrick’s Wagga Wagga Wedding. Ellie’s father had managed this shearing shed and now his son after him. This was a really emotional moment for Ellie and her family and an absolute priority to get this shot.
Hayley and Daniel’s Bright Victoria Wedding. This shot was taken around 9pm when I ‘stole’ the Bride and Groom from the Reception at the Bright Brewery, for just a moment. This area beside the river had so much Autumn colour but very little lighting so we created this amazing image with some ingenuity.
Rebecca and Len’s Albury Wedding. It was great to be back in Albury for the last Wedding in Autumn. The Botanic Garden’s are stunning year round but I love particularly love the colours this time of year.
Alison and Chris’s Wagga Wagga Wedding. As the 200 guests gathered at the Showgrounds for the Reception, we snuck away to the old grandstand.
Jacynta and Matt’s Albury Wedding. This is the shot we had anticipated as we waited for the winter sun to drop just enough at the footbridge at the end of Dean Street.
Commercial Photography for a Display Home in Benalla.
Kym and Tom’s Orange Grove Gardens Wedding. Not far from Orange Grove Gardens is a small church where we wanted part of the Bridal shoot to take place. We finished just on low light and raced back to Orange Grove to get this sunset silhouette.
Cyndal and Jordan’s Yackandandah Wedding. With the old miners hut from the Goldrush era in the background and the ‘ 54 Chevy.
Bec and Paul’s Junee Engagement Photography. This shoot was so much about capturing what was important to Bec and Paul, their mate, their farm, and the incredible view over the Lupin field. Looking forward to capturing their Wedding later in the year.
Hannah and Andrew’s Albury Wodonga Wedding. Some of the best captures are the ones when no one is watching.
Working with Matthew Hayden, the Dutch Media team and Mahindra Automotive Australia on North Stradbroke Island in Queensland. A beautiful location for Matthew to join forces with Mahindra and for me to marry the still imagery up with the upcoming TV footage. Looking forward to seeing this on the TV screen soon.
Family Portrait Shoot at the Family Property near Lake Hume.
Amy and Ash’s Engagement Shoot in Albury. We spent most of our time at the beautiful Wonga Wetlands and finished at Gateway Island, putting together lots of ideas for Amy and Ash’s upcoming Wedding.
Jess and Tim’s Lindenwarrah Wedding in Milawa Victoria. From the beautiful Lindenwarrah Estate to the old Mill and then this magnificent tree on a private property. Its always nice to shoot the close up and details shots, but then step way back and take it all in! This was also a bit out of the ordinary for me, having a friend and awesome photographer, Briony from Hardinge Photography 2nd shoot with me. It was great fun and a rare chance to shoot together and I know Jess and Tim loved it.
Commercial Photography for a Display Home in Shepparton.
Jess and Troy’s Pinnacle Valley Resort Wedding in Merrijig Victoria. We had a massive amount of rain in the morning and all cleared for the outdoor ceremony to go ahead in the old Stables. We look in the grounds around the resort before heading down to some of my favourite spots on the Delatite River to continue the Bridal Shoot. This last shot, we nicknamed ‘Abbey Road’.
In between Weddings and Commercial shoots it is still awesome to get out and shoot a Landscape. After 2 days of rain and wind, the storm clouds are in the distance looking over the panoramic view of Lake Hume.
Commercial Photography for NSW Land Services’ opening of Native Dog Swap Wetlands.
Megan and Shane’s November Lake Hume Resort Wedding on a beautiful sunny Albury day. The boys even got to sneak out for a wake board while the girls were getting ready!
Ainslee and Leroy’s Wangaratta Wedding. Ainslee and Leroy met prior to their Ceremony for their Bridal Shoot. Ainslee loved the idea of meeting Leroy on the train tracks beside their property where we could capture Leroy’s priceless reaction. This was such a great moment and a unique capture.
The Bridal Party walking to Reception at The Precinct Bar & Restaurant Wangaratta, such a cool group.
Commercial Photography Albury Wodonga
Ashleigh and Peter’s Engagement Shoot in Albury, getting some inspiration before the big day at Pinnacle Valley!
Ashleigh and Peter’s Pinnacle Valley Resort Wedding. This was a day all about family and special moments. There were just minutes left of brilliant light hitting the crest of the mountain before the valley droped onto darkness.. I was seeing spots for a while but very worth it!
Alyssa & Heath’s December Orange Grove Wedding, with the last of the sunlight we snuck away from the reception and the 24mm 1.4L lens came out of the kit for this special moment, super sharp lens… Love it!
Jess and Alex’s Pre-Baby Photography on the banks of the Murray River in Albury. Congrats guys and we can’t wait to meet the little one.
Catherine and Jamie’s New Years Eve Wedding on the family property in Holbrook. What a way to bring in the New Year! This was taken under the mighty Gum where Jamie had proposed and over looked the Creek bed where their Ceremony was held earlier in the day.
Thank you to every one for making 2015 such a memorable year to capture. I hope that you have enjoyed our year in review through the view finder. Looking forward to capturing many more special moments, from the tears and emotions of many more Weddings and the stories behind the biggest day in our couples lives, to the Landscapes and the details of our Commercial shoots in a big 2016.
All the best, Jason and Tammy.
