Congratulations to Debbie and Darren on their stunning Beechworth Wedding at The Vision Splendid in North East Victoria.
Thank you for allowing us to capture your day and we hope your images provide many happy memories for years to come.
Thank you to Debbie and Darren for sharing the story of your day:
In planning our wedding day, there were certain things that we were both set upon – it needed to be a casual day filled with family and friends, instead of the traditional grand wedding. So it was decided that we would host a High Tea style wedding during the afternoon with our closest family and friends.
Choosing the perfect venue for our wedding day proved to be quite a challenge. We scoped out many different locations in many different towns, but Beechworth was the place that stood out. Finally, we stumbled across the Vision Splendid. We still remember driving up the driveway and being stunned by the amazing view. From that moment our decision was made – this was our venue!
Photography was also an important decision for us. We weren’t interested in someone who would take the job just to take the typical posed wedding shots. We were drawn to Jason Robins Photography as soon as we heard about Jason’s background in landscape photography. Any doubts were gone after we met Jason in person and sat down to talk through his photography style and what would happen on our day. And so – slowly, but surely – the rest of our plans came together and our wedding day had arrived before we knew it.
Our ceremony and reception were both being held at the Vision Splendid so our guests didn’t have to travel. The ceremony was held outside overlooking the Ovens Valley. Luckily the rain held off all day, despite rainfall the night before and a massive storm that night! We had a short civil ceremony in which we happily (and nervously) exchanged the vows we had written for each other and said ‘I do’! After the ceremony, our guests stayed behind to enjoy the location while the wedding party went with Jason into Beechworth for photos. Honestly, this was one of our favourite parts of the day! We were able to relax now the ceremony was over and just have some fun!
Upon arriving back at our reception, we jumped straight into our first dance as husband and wife, and speeches – the traditions we didn’t want to miss out on. High Tea was served shortly after that. It was great to see our family and friends come together to celebrate this day with us. Overall our day was a little stressful, nerve-wracking, fun, exciting and most importantly, filled with love and happiness! Jason was certainly a big part of making our day less stressful and more enjoyable. We felt comfortable with Jason and he helped us from the beginning planning stages all the way through to the end of our wedding day.
